She had taught school in the Union City area before moving to Millcreek. She was an active member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, worked in the church office, and was a member of the sewing group which made lap robes and bibs for the Methodist Home. She was a member of the Geriatrics Auxiliary and the Millcreek Republican Woman’s Council. Survivors include a sister, Lousie Cunningham; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo (Yvone) Weir; two brothers-in-law, William French and Robert French, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burtt G. French, who died Dec. 28, 1972. Friends may call Mon. from 7– 9 p.m. and Tues. from 2– 4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Glen R. Brown Funeral Home, 2505 Powell Ave. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church, W. 10th and Chelsea Ave., with the Rev. Robert Richars officiating.
