The Emergency Broadband Benefit is a temporary FCC program to help households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing:
- A discount of up to $50 per month for broadband service
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

Union City Public Library will open for general access on Monday, March 8, 2021.
No appointments will be required for services.
The library expects to remain open as long as local COVID-19 case numbers remain sustainable.
This opening will restore most patron services, while following current mitigation efforts. Face covering and social distancing are required.
All collections are available for browsing. Computer use will return to 30 minutes sessions. Please note: One-on-one computer assistance cannot be accomplished due to social distancing. Patrons are advised to bring a helper should they require computer assistance.
Curbside service will still be available upon request, please call 814-438-3209 for this service.
In person programming, the Castle Room, and the Conference Room are still unavailable.
