The Union City Public Library is a full service community library,located in Union City, Pennsylvania, is dedicated to the informational and recreational reading needs of area residents. The library offers approximately 32,000 volumes of fiction, non-fiction and reference materials, internet access, word processing, story hours, and summer reading programs. Looking for a new hobby in the New Year? Come to the Union City Public Library on Saturday, January 31 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Linda Haas, staff member of the library will be on hand to teach the basics of needlepoint on plastic canvas. Learn what you need to start, where to purchase materials and the basic stitches. Linda has been doing needlepoint for over 30 years and can show you how to make great gifts for family and friends. Please call 438-3209 for reservations as class size is limited. You may also stop in the library to sign up for class. This event is free and open to the public.
